This is an opportunity for boys in years 7 and 8 to work as a team to design, using state of the art engineering software, a car that can beat the bloodhound's theoretical speed of 1000mph. You will work with industry experts and staff to learn about the physics, engineering technology and economics that are behind this Land Speed Record attempt. You will have an opportunity to visit some industrial facilities involved in this technology and finally you will build a model car for display. Our team will produce a car and resource that will be submitted into a national competition.
You must be able to commit to attending a weekly meeting and you would need to be free on one evening in late November for the celebration ceremony.
